In theory, caregiving should be a shared responsibility. In reality? It often falls on one person.
Whether it’s the eldest daughter, the closest sibling, or the “strong one” in the family, someone ends up taking on everything: doctor visits, medication schedules, meal planning, emotional support, paperwork, and late-night emergencies.
And that person is usually overwhelmed, exhausted, and invisible.
The mental load is real.
They’re not just coordinating logistics. They’re:
- Remembering every detail of mom’s health history
- Managing family dynamics and guilt
- Grieving small losses daily while keeping things moving
- Wondering if they’re doing enough, or doing it right
🌱 GALA is being built with that caregiver in mind.
We know what it’s like to be “the one holding it all together.”
That’s why we’re designing GALA to:
- Simplify care coordination
- Reduce decision fatigue with clear next steps
- Surface services before burnout hits
- Make it easier to involve others when help is needed
You shouldn’t have to do this alone. GALA is here to support the caregiver who’s supporting everyone else.
Because care shouldn't collapse on one set of shoulders.
